What TOEFL score is needed?
Go by the requirement each target school publishes; this course aims at 100 or above. The test is scored out of 120, with reading, listening, speaking, and writing each worth 30. Undergraduate thresholds commonly sit around 80, and selective institutions are generally higher, so set the school list before setting the score target.
Should we take the TOEFL or the SAT first?
Usually the TOEFL first, then the SAT. The TOEFL measures English language proficiency and has a clearer path to a higher score, while the SAT tests academic reading and reasoning and depends more on long accumulation. TOEFL scores are valid for two years, which has to be built into the application timeline.
Do Irvine public high school students have to submit a TOEFL score?
