What grade should Irvine students start in?
Early groundwork can begin in middle school. The service covers grades 7 to 12: G7 and G8 focus on the academic path and the direction of activities, and high school brings in GPA management, testing, competitions, and the application itself. The earlier the direction is set, the more room there is to adjust.
Do we have to buy all eight services?
No, each one can be purchased on its own. A family can take only what it needs; a student with a steady GPA might take competition planning and the application service alone. Consultant meetings are by appointment, so the first step is identifying which piece is actually missing.
Can an Irvine public high school student repair a weak GPA?
Yes, if it is addressed early. High school academic planning analyzes which courses cost points, judges what can still be repaired, and rebuilds course selection and weighting for the remaining terms. How many competitions are enough?
The count matters less than the fit. Competition planning aims at selecting the right contests and winning awards that carry weight, not at filling the calendar. Requirements for each contest are in the competition library, and the full math route is in the math competition track.
Should Irvine high school students still take the SAT or ACT?
It needs to be planned rather than assumed. Leading universities have been reinstating testing requirements, and standardized test planning is one of the eight services: which test, when, and how many sittings. Preparation is at SAT and TOEFL; test dates should avoid AP exams and competitions.
When should essays be started?
The summer after grade 11, before senior-year courses and supplements compete for the same hours.
